Please note:
- All security passes will only be issued in Dharamsala.
- Please ensure you have a valid Indian visa and your passport has at least 6 months of validity.
- You are advised to take the necessary vaccinations and arrange your own travel insurance.
- His Holiness will be teaching in Tibetan so a portable FM radio with earphone is necessary to receive the translations.
- English and Mandarin translations are provided (via FM radio/ MP3)
- For other language translations via FM radio, please organize with your group translator
- During teaching, tea and bread will be provided.
- There are no safes/deposit boxes in the hotel so make sure your suitcase has an unbreakable lock if you intend to keep your valuables in your room.
- Please do not eat anything uncooked such as salads. Eat only fruits that you can peel, for example oranges, bananas.
- Do not drink or brush your teeth with tap water. Make sure you buy enough mineral water for your daily needs.
- There are many restaurants in Dharamsala serving Tibetan, Italian, Thai, Japanese, Indian food. Typically a bowl of noodles start at RS40
- There are taxis readily available.
